Schneider TM
   
 
The German musician, composer and producer Dirk Dresselhaus (aka Schneider TM), born in 1970 in Bielefeld, has been active in various musical fields since the late 80s. From 1989 to 1997 he played and sang in indie-/noiserock- and pop - bands like Locust Fudge and Hip Young Things.

In 1997 he started to work more with electronic music and started the project Schneider TM (City Slang, Mute, Earsugar).  Under this moniker he released some electro-freakpop and indie albums and hits, such as “Reality Check” and the Smiths cover version of “There Is a Light That Never Goes Out" titled “The Light 3000”.

Alongside  composing and producing music for films, theater and radio plays, he plays for several years in noise-improv bands and projects like Angel (with Ilpo Väisänen of Pan,  Sonic, CDs on Bip_Hop, Oral & Editions Mego) and Mr. jewelry's Farm (with the Icelandic cellist Hildur Gudnadottir). In 1997 Dirk Dresselhaus co-founded the label MirrorWorldMusic with Michael Beckett. In Skopje he will present his newest material called “Construction Sounds” that will be released in the following year.

Dirk Dresselhaus gives a workshop for professional music artists from Southeast Europe. The basic idea of the workshop is composing sound collages or music works based on processed field recordings made by the participants in the city of Skopje.  The results of the workshop will be presented live.
