Mirko Popov is buying records and taking good care of his music since elementary school. In the 80s music was cool, even pop. Therefore such a creative environment helped him develop divergent musical taste and a progressive orientated mindscape. He got his first professional DJ booking in 1992 and becomes regular at the alternative FM radio station Kanal 103, which notably contributed to his development as a personality and as a musician.

In 1995 he founded the PMG Collective - probably the most influential artistic organization in the Macedonian pop culture. PMG parties in the 90s were the essence of Skopje's urban folklore at the time. In 1998 he started PMG Recordings, an independent Macedonian label, which celebrates new Macedonian sound, with more than 60 releases.

In 2003 he puts together the band PMG Kolektiv, where he sings, writes music and lyrics. They released 4 albums and did several tours. He's also part of an obscure electronic project Kanton 6.

With a noble intention to capture the spiritual momentum of a PMG dance floor, he starts the electronic dance net-label PatternPMG in 2011.
